Betty befriended me at a time when I wasn't so together. We bonded because we love art and Scotties and because Betty was so good at listening. Her face and personality were warm and inviting. I love you, Betty!

I will miss Betty's wonderful humor and delightful images she shared with us and all of San Jose in the Metro.

I was lucky to spend some time with Betty. We met for lunch and talked about putting together a show of her work at the Alameda Artwork Studios. She was an artist in residence during the year 2002.

I will miss you Betty. It is hip to be B-squared. B-squared = BB = Betty Bates.

I contacted Larry Fong, curator for the Jordan Schnitzer Museum at the U of O campus. He enjoyed the web site and Betty's work, but her work cannot be displayed at that museum. That said, I do believe we can try other museums and see if we can get her work displayed. It's brilliant, funny and interesting. I was also intrigued by her development in technique and medium choice over the years. I'm sure you agree with me on this.

LOVE THE WEB SITE. SHE WAS A UNIQUE ARTIST. I HAVE A CAT SO THOSE ARE ESPECIALLY Humorous TO ME. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CONSTANT MOVING SCREEN HAVE THE TITLE OF THE PAINTING ON IT ALSO. I HAVE SEEN HER WHOLE COLLECTION AND I LIKE HER HUMOR IN NAMING EACH PIECE.
HOW DO YOU GET A HOLD OF THE WEB DESIGNER ? I LIKE HIS WORK.
